Tim has won his first Major at BJG. This is Tim’s second trophy, even though he has only played in 4 out of 9 events. That means that fifty percent of the time, Tim is winning a trophy. That’s not bad for a first-year player. Unfortunately, as we have seen in the past, Tim’s 85 is going to increase his BJG handicap by quite a lot and with only two rounds left to play.

I wanted to nickname Tim "50 Per (Cent)", but that was just too easy.

You may have noticed things were moving a little slow on the front nine.

Group One was having trouble finding their rhythm and their balls. To make matters worst, one of their carts died at the bottom of the hill on the 9th hole, and that caused a whole lot more issues.

The scoring on the front nine looked pretty tight with half of our Golfers coming in under 50 with Tim and Joe T leading the pack.

The 8th hole played the easiest for us as a group, playing just over bogey. Holes 2, 3, and the 6th hole all played over double bogey.

Back Nine Scores (Actual):

1st: Cody – 45 (38)

1st: Tim – 45 – (43)

3rd: Dave – 47 (44)

13th: Joe – 56 (56)

14th: Juan – 56.5 (60)

14th: Dustin – 56.5 (62)

16th: Jake – 58 (56)

17th: Matty Ice – 59.5 (66)

18th: Jon – 63 (71)

Back Nine:

Top Four Golfers Report: Jon hurt his back, and Matty Ice hurt his groin, probably from the amount of times they swung their clubs. Joe, well, he just hurt his pride with his lack of driver skills and poor putting. Meanwhile, Cody was putting on a demonstration of how to play golf. Cody shot par over the last 6 holes and even had his 2nd birdie of the day.

The scoring on the back nine looked very different, with only 4 Golfers coming in under 50. Cody and Tim (again) led the pack but Dave was showing flashes of his old self and EJ came to play with his new driver and putter.

The 16th and 17th holes played the easiest for us, and as a group, it played just over bogey. The 11th hole proved to be our worst hole, playing over triple bogey. As a group, our average score a was 54 on the back nine.

Wow, I did not see this coming a couple of weeks ago after the Time Travelers. Cody made a BIG Move from 4th to 1st.

Cody was 55 points from first place a couple of weeks ago, he now leads by 5. Joe was 30.7 points back in 3rd, he is now 5 points back in 2nd.

Matty Ice and Jon have fallen to 3rd and 4th with two rounds left to play. Hopefully, they have not totally run out of gas.

Dave jumps from 7th to 5th, and Adam falls from 5th to 6th.

Going into the last regular-season round, we find that these top 6 Golfers are only a total of 20.2 points apart. Dave and Adam have stayed strong all year long and now have a real chance to fight to become the Race to Big Y (Dubai) Champion. These 6 Golfers will have to make every shot count when we get our first look at Franconia Golf Course on Sunday, August 8th.

At the CUTLINE, we see that EJ has moved to 11th place, and Chris, the "One-Armed Bandit" has fallen to 12th.

Juan, who was just 7 points back from the 12th spot, is now behind by 21 points. Tim is making a last-second push, moving past Jake for 14th place, and is only 39.5 points from 12th.

While it is true that we had to increase some handicaps for Golfers that were shooting in the 80s (back to the average score of 95), this year, we have seen a lot of ties, more so than any other year.

This will also be the first year that we will see a battle for the "Race to Big Y" (Dubai) rather than a walk-off win which is what we normally see. I think this has been an exciting season.

Congratulations to Dan for winning the "Closet to the Hole" and Matty Ice for winning the "Longest Drive". And once again, congratulations to Tim for winning our 3rd Major.

I know that the blog is late, but just so you know, we here at BJG, never take a day off...even when we are forced out of our World HQs location.
