Jon wins the Woods Shootout in spectacular fashion by finishing with a score of 87 which is 5 strokes better than his closest competitor.

Agawam Golf Course always amazes me just how easy and hard it can be at the same time.

There was not a lot of movement with positions but the scores did get a whole lot closer. We have our 2nd Major coming up and that could really shake up the Leaderboard.
This is Jon’s second win with a score in the 80s. Jon is starting to remind me of Cody in 2020 when Cody shot handicap scores of 87 (77), 84 (74), and 89 (79).
In 2020, Jon’s average score was 127 with his highest score being 142 and his lowest score being 121. That is how Jon got a handicap score of 28. Who knew that Joe was such a good mentor AND that Jon was going to take lessons AND practice ???
Good for Jon for “Playing Better Golf” and taking full advantage of his handicap.
Of course, the curse of BJG handicaps is that when you do “play better golf”, we have to adjust your handicap to your new potential.
After 5 rounds out of 11 rounds of regular season golf, it is time for the Handicap Committee to review and possibly make changes to the 2021 BJG handicaps. I will send Chris the numbers from the last 5 weeks. Once the BJG handicaps are adjusted I will post them on the website.
Next on our schedule is the Fathers and Uncles Invitational. The FU Invitational will be played once again at Agawam Golf Course on June 6th, 2021. Points are worth 4 times the regular points with a total of 840 points up for grabs. 80 points for first place and just 4 lonely points for last place.
We brought Juan a small gift for his new born but Juan once again ghosted us after the round. I am really impressed that he played golf at all. Dan should be bring this to Juan soon.

And last but not least, we say goodbye to Harry for 26 weeks. Good luck Harry.
Respectfully,
Broken Joe
