Yes, I know, the blog is late....

First, Happy New Year !!
The start of the new year reminds me of freshly fallen snow. A virgin blanket, pure and untouched. Beautiful and picturesque. The new year is unspoiled and brings with it a new sense of hope for the coming year.

And then the neighbor lets their dog out to run the streets, defiling the Norman Rockwell scene, leaving behind his muddy foot prints and a streaming pile of dog crap in the center of my front yard.

That has been 2020 & 2021 under COVID, but today, we will embrace the hope of a better tomorrow.

Second, let me welcome back Bryan and Matt T. Both golfers have committed to the 2022 BJG season and we are happy to have them.

Right now, this brings our membership up to 18. I can make this number work but we will need 5 tee times.
To start the season off right, I have put together the 2022 Competition Committee. They are:
Director of Rules - BIG Poppa Cody
Director of Scheduling - Joe Willie
and the Assistant to the Commissioner - The Kid (EJ).

Party Man Dan will remain the Chief Finance Officer and will collect the 2022 BGJ fees, and of course, Big Daddy Chris continues to be our Deputy Commissioner.

I want to "THANK" Dave and Rock for their help with the schedule and rules in 2021.
I have created the draft 2022 BJG schedule and Joe Willie is working on assigning the golf courses. Please take a look at this draft schedule and get with me or Joe Willie to let us know if we missed something.

Joe Willie and I are also working on a plan to get us decent tee times in 2022, even with 18 golfers.
Cody is reviewing and updating the rules. Cody will cover the rules during our Winter Meeting. From what I hear, some of you really need to pay close attention.
I have also used the 2021 BJG scores to create the Draft Handicaps for 2022. Once the Competition Committee and I go through them. I will get them out to you and then we can talk more.
Right now, it looks like the 2022 BJG fee will be $40.00, but that we depend how many golfers we actually have at the start of the season. Of course, for any new guys, the cost is $80.00 thier first year.
EJ talks about BJG almost as much as I do, EJ is enthusiastic and he has lots of ideas. I am working on one of EJ's ideas (which I think is pretty cool and different) but the better news it that it is also a great way to mix up the groupings. That means you should play with different golfers every week.
This is the new text group. Here are the NAMEs in order as I put them in the text. (18):
This is the list of Name & Last Four of their telephone number so you can put them in your contacts.
