Broken Joe

In 2015, Broken Joe Golf added the Fathers and Uncles Invitational as our 2nd Major Championship. The problem was that our 3rd Major Championship, the American Freedom Open, left us with only one event between the two Majors. In 2025, I decided to try to space the Majors out evenly. After more than two years with BJG — and after winning the 2025 BJG Journey Award — Stephen has finally captured his first trophy. Stephen officially proved he is no Pretender. On May 17th, 2025, we will play our version of “The Players Championship,” which we call The PRETENDERS Championship. The Pretenders Championship will be held at Gillette Ridge Golf Course, 1360 Hall Blvd, Bloomfield, CT 06002. I chose Gillette Ridge because everyone enjoyed the course and wanted a second chance. We arrive at Agawam, and the course looks good. Unfortunately for us, it's another terrible day of weather, and it's May!!! It is a WINDY day, which makes it COLD. Even Matt wears pants. Dustin still comes to play in shorts, but they are black shorts. We have a slight delay due to a course issue, but we hope that gives us time to see the sun.
